In 1999, The National Computer Board (NCB) and Telecommunications Authority of Singapore (TAS) merged to form Infocomm Development Authority (IDA). Prior to the merger, Eastcom was awarded the Innovation Development Award from NCB for its strong technical innovations within the telecommunications sector in Singapore.(what year did we get this award ????)
